Hey Team XD fam! Let’s talk about our mad ATV riding adventure that went down on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. Trust me, it was real vibes! The day started with all of us hyped up and ready to go. We had 10 ATVs lined up and rearing to hit the trails. There were four doubles (perfect for couples) and six single riders. Everybody was set, and we were ready to blaze the trails.
Running Late but Still Lit
We were running a bit late (Trini time, you know), so we split into three teams of three to get the show on the road. The first team was led by Shawn and Janine (double occupancy), with Lisa and Arlene who were on time and eager to start. They headed out first to blaze the trail for the rest of us.
The second team was me (Kess) and Vangy (double occupancy), Shaquille and Shanice (another double occupancy), and Lyndon. On our way to the starting point, we ran into Gio Designs, the popular TikTok influencer. You can check out the TikTok video where we pass him on the road. It was real cool to see him and kickstart our adventure on a high note.
Just as we hit the trail, the skies opened up and the rain started pouring. Instead of dampening our spirits, it just made the ride even more thrilling! Leon and Justin made up the third team. They had the thrill of speeding up the road to catch up with us. Their high-speed chase added even more excitement, and they soon met up with us on the trail. They had some real stories of flying through the trails to join the group.
Group Shot, Challenges, and Amazing Hosts
When we were heading back, we stopped for a big group shot, capturing all our muddy, happy faces. Timothy had some vehicle issues, so he reached after we came back from the trail. We spoke to North Riders, and they mentioned they don’t usually make exceptions for late arrivals. If you miss your booking time, you typically have to reschedule with a fee. But North Riders went above and beyond for Timothy, letting him go ahead with one of the tour guides. Abby and Akil were also able to reschedule for another day. Big up to North Riders for being absolute legends. By the time we got back, the rain had stopped, and we were all in high spirits.
The fun didn’t stop there! After the ride, we went exploring to find a spot to wash off. It turned into an impromptu hike, filled with laughter and bonding. We didn’t find the perfect spot, but the journey was worth every step. It was the perfect end to an already unforgettable day.
